Cherie Currie “couldn’t have been more floored” with Dakota Fanning

Tomorrow, The Runaways film opens nationwide. The movie stars Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart and tells the story of the all-teen girl group from the ‘70s. When we spoke with band member Cherie Currie, she let us know how she felt about having Dakota Fanning portray her in the flick.
“Dakota Fanning is my favorite actress of all time and when I found that she was in negotiations for this part, my knees buckled, I couldn’t have been more floored. I really thought that a role like this would have been out of reach for an actor like Dakota so when she came on board, it was just the happiest moment of my life besides the birth of my son.”
