Keith Richards Loves Books

FROM WWW.SPINNER.COM:

Hard partying Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards once secretly aspired to be a librarian, according to a revelation in his upcoming autobiography, ‘Life,’ which will be released in October. The Sun reports that the man behind some of the most infamous riffs in rock ‘n’ roll has thousands of books between his various homes and once mulled “professional training” to organize the tomes before ditching the idea for being too overwhelming.

A 2007 bidding war netted the Stone co-founder a whopping $7.1 million for the memoir, which the British press called “the holy grail of rock books” according to a Crain’s report. According to new details about the project uncovered by the Sun, the guitarist’s book will reveal how the London-reared Richards “found refuge in books before discovering the blues.”

Richards, 66, worked on the book with non-fiction author James Fox, a longtime friend. Fans will undoubtedly be drawn to the book to see how well Keith — after decades of drug and alcohol use — remembers certain parts of his life.
