A Florida-based non-profit group called Protect Our Children is sending out “sex offender advisory” postcards to homes and schools close to Miami’s Sun Life Stadium, calling Who guitarist Pete Townshend a “sex offender” and warning residents that he would be in town to perform at the halftime show of the Super Bowl. In 2003, Townshend was arrested for looking at child pornography online. He said he was doing research for a book and was never convicted. Groups like Protect Our Children have protested The Who’s performance at the big game because of Pete’s history. The NFL responded saying they see no problem since the rocker was never convicted. The Super Bowl takes place on February 7th. Learn more about the postcards at Page2Live.com.
