Van Zandt Talks About Springsteen Onstage Flub

On Friday, Bruce Springsteen, who had spent almost two years on the road, thought he was in Ohio when he and the E Street Band played in Detroit. The Boss made three separate references to Ohio onstage before guitarist Steven Van Zandt corrected him and now, Little Stevie is talking about the incident. The rocker told RollingStone.com that when he heard Bruce say “Ohio” the first time, he wasn’t sure he heard right but wanted to get Springsteen’s attention. However, he didn’t have a chance to before the end of the song they were playing and by then, Bruce made another Ohio reference. At that point, Steven said, “That’s it. This crowd is about to rebel. They’re going to attack us!” Van Zandt explained, “I just grabbed [Bruce] and said, ‘You don’t realize it, but you’re saying Ohio and we’re in Michigan.’ He was like ‘What!?’” Read more at RollingStone.com
