Few wives are as supportive as Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry’s spouse, Billie, however, in a recent Twitter post, Mrs. Perry revealed she isn’t a fan of the band’s music unless it’s live. Billie tweeted about how she doesn’t like Aerosmith songs “without the live performance behind it.” She added that she has never listened to one of the group’s albums all the way through. Lita Ford has been pretty busy lately. Not only did the rocker just release her latest album, Wicked Wonderland, but she also voiced a character in the new metal/hard rock-themed video game Brutal Legend. In fact, a song from Lita’s record can be heard in the game. It’s called “Betrayal” and Ford told us more about it.
“‘Betrayal’ was written for Brutal Legend and in the song it goes, ‘I am the underworld,’ and then it goes, ‘Hey hey hey! You brutal legend. Brutal. ‘Hey, hey, hey!’ And the whole audience will start going, ‘Hey, hey, hey!’ We wrote that on purpose to try and get the audience participation on the song. They don’t have to know the words; anybody can go, ‘Hey, hey, hey.’”
You can hear both Lita’s voice and her song “Betrayal” by picking up Brutal Legend, which hit shelves today. Meanwhile, Ford’s Wicked Wonderland album is in stores now.

Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest’s Rob Halford and Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister also voice characters in the game.

Sammy Hagar is 62. The Chickenfoot singer has been making music for over four decades of his life, so he must know a lot about it. We asked the former Van Halen rocker what it is about music he thinks moves people.
“It translates on levels that we don’t even know about, cause I think it bombards all your senses. You’ll hear a melody in your ears and if it’s loud, you actually feel it in your body, and when you hear words that glide over the top of that thing, then they touch your brain, and I think when it all connects it, it’s like a pretty big deal. Music is, is awesome.”
Sammy will be making his awesome music tonight at his annual birthday bash at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. For all the details, head to RedRocker.com.

There could some day be a Black Sabbath reunion with Ozzy Osbourne, just not right now. The Prince of Darkness told the Birmingham Post, “With Black Sabbath there is always some litigation going on. We’re always having a go at each other, it’s like being married, I suppose.” Ozzy went on to say, “As for getting back with the band, I never say never anymore. Just not right now. If something came up and it was worth doing it’d be stupid not to do it.” Read more at BirminghamPost.net.

Steve Vai just released a new live DVD. The two-disc set is called Steve Vai: Where the Wild Things Are and the famed guitarist told us that it’s not just your average live package.
“There’s a lot of swings to it, there’s a whole acoustic set, I changed my clothes four times, I have all these weird instruments and we built this psycho drum kit that’s really funny but he plays the heck out of it. And the great thing about this band that I think really translated into the video is just how much we enjoy each other.”

Most rock stars have people who run their errands for them, which means the musicians might lose touch with reality. Is that the case with Metallica? In his latest Webisode, comedian Jim Breuer got to the bottom of it. He asked the band if they know the cost of eggs, toilet paper, a room at a Best Western Inn, a haircut and more.
